J’ai investi cette façade de verre avec une installation d’affiches superposées aléatoirement sur les fenêtres, dans le cadre d’une exposition sur le thème de l’ornement dans l’art contemporain. Cette modulation de surfaces jouant avec la lumière comme un vitrail pouvait être perçue différemment, depuis l’intérieur ou l’extérieur du bâtiment. Neuf compositions colorées ont été imprimées en offset sur du papier de notices médicamenteuses, dont la finesse permet de jouer de toutes les transparences, entre extérieur et intérieur du bâtiment. La superposition des modules de papier a permis des combinaisons multiples. Dans cette installation éphémère, j’ai réinvesti l’idée d’ornement architectural avec des moyens liés à la technicité du graphisme contemporain, habituellement déployés à l’échelle du livre.

I invested the glass facade with superimposed posters, randomly placed in windows, as part of an exhibition on the theme of ornament in modern art. This modulation of surfaces plays with light as a stained-glass window could be perceived differently, when seen from the inside or outside the building. Nine color compositions were offset printed on paper normally used for printing medication instructions. Sheer and transparent, the effect was dynamic, both outside and inside the building. Superposing the paper modules allowed for multiple combinations. In this ephemeral installation, I revisited the idea of architectural ornament with means culled from the technical nature of contemporary graphic design, normally used in the context of book design.
