Ce livre, dans son format intermédiaire et sa souplesse, est autant destiné à être lu qu’à être regardé. Il a été conçu comme un prolongement analytique de l’exposition Extra Fantômes. La répétition, puis la déperdition des éléments graphiques des titrages, à la manière de codes, évoquent une tension entre matérialité et immatérialité des données numériques. La finesse des pages intérieures révèle en transparence l’architecture du livre, tandis que le bandeau de la couverture laisse à voir les stigmates d’une étrange matière recyclée.

This book, with its medium format and soft cover, is intended both to be looked at and read. It was designed to be a critical continuation of the Extra Fantômes exhibition.
The repetition and then subtraction of the graphic elements of the titles, in the style of a code, evoke the tension between the material and immaterial nature of digital data. The thinness of the inner pages allows the architecture of the book to show through while the band running down the cover reveals the stigmata of some strange recycled material.
