Le livre Parade nuptiale de John Deneuve montre une sélection de dessins, à mi-chemin entre graphisme enfantin déjanté et illustrations underground. J’ai souhaité que cet ouvrage, en dépit de sa faible pagination, ait une vraie présence de livre, d’où le choix d’un carton épais pour la couverture, et d’un papier bouffant ayant une main élevée. Le livre présente un dessin par page de façon hiératique, sans marquer les rebords de l’original. Les techniques d’impression rendent hommage à la vivacité des couleurs employées par l’artiste: dorure à chaud mate sur simili cuir blanc pour la couverture, ton direct sur papier rose pour les gardes et quadrichromie fluo pour les pages intérieures. Cette plongée dans les œuvres et la couleur est interrompue par la parenthèse noire du texte.

The Parade nuptiale book by John Deneuve presents a selection of drawings that are halfway between childlike crazy graphic design and underground illustrations. Despite its small number of pages, I wanted this book to have a real presence, hence the choice of a thick cardboard for cover, and a bulky paper for the inside. The book presents a drawing per page in a hieratic way, without marking the edges of the original. Printing techniques pay tribute to the liveliness of the colors used by the artist: mate hot foil on a faux white leather for the cover, spot color on pink paper for the cover pages and neon CMYK for the inside pages. This immersion in her work and the color is interrupted by the text printed in black.
