Ce parcours signalétique dans la ville a été envisagé comme une déambulation sensible. Dans la continuité du projet Fontenew, j’ai créé des affiches-matrices de lettres destinées à écrire en grand dans la ville. Des filets de couleurs fluo composent la matrice. De grandes gommettes à la forme incisive et aux couleurs translucides ont été ensuite collées avec trois variations possibles (à l’horizontale, à la verticale ou superposées). Les possibilités infinies de combinaisons et superpositions des 18 couleurs, et les jeux de matières, donnent à ces affiches une dimension d’objet plastique. Le rapport à l’échelle est mis en évidence: la lecture n’est possible qu’en s’éloignant des mots, dans ce contexte urbain qui révèle leur poésie. Laure Limongi s’est prêtée à ce jeu contraint d’écriture poétique:

Entre chien et loup / les arbres / suaires / si / sereins au vent / crient le jour après / la nuit claire indécise

This signage system through the town was intended to be a journey of exploration. As part of the Fontenew project, I designed a number of template posters with letters suitable for enlargement and display around the town. A network in different fluorescent colours makes up the matrix. Large, simple lozenge-shaped stickers in translucent colours are then added in one of three possible positions (horizontal, vertical or superimposed). The infinite possibilities offered by the combination and superimposition of the 18 colours and the interplay of materials give these posters a 3-D dimension. The relationship with scale is notable: it is not possible to read the words until you move some distance away, in this urban context that reveals their poetry.
