La singularité de l’ouvrage Panorama est un terrain fertile pour une déclinaison en «dessin animé». Le caractère immuable du dessin au fil des pages, qui permet d’éprouver de façon aiguë l’écoulement du temps par le biais des changements colorés, est adapté en animation. La notion même de timeline prend ici un sens inédit, dans la mesure où les glissements colorés y constituent le cœur de la narration graphique. Comme dans le livre, l’œil doit être aux aguets pour traquer les mutations chromatiques.

The unusual nature of Panorama makes it ideal for animation. The unchanging structure of the drawings as the pages turn allows the passage of time to be keenly experienced through the changes of colour. Here movement is added. The very notion of a timeline takes on new meaning here as it is the shifting colours that supply the graphic narrative. As with the book, the eye must be alert to these chromatic changes.
