Le principe est simple: une forme abstraite monochrome est littéralement absorbée par le livre… elle réapparait, au fil des pages, transformée en objet trichrome. La couverture et les pages de garde noires accompagnent le mouvement et jouent le jeu de l’évocation magique. La reliure devient instrument de passe-passe… et le livre est envisagé comme un espace de métamorphose.

A collection with no trickery involved! The principle is simple: an abstract monochrome image is literally absorbed by the book… reappearing, as the pages are turned, transformed into a trichrome object. The cover and the black end papers follow the movement, playing a game of magic evocation. The whole becomes part of a conjuring trick…. the book representing a kind of metamorphosis.
