Cet ouvrage présente un ensemble d’œuvres, résultant d’une commande photographique initiée par le Frac Méca. La couverture figure l’idée du territoire, et d’un horizon. Le titre complet se déploie sur la jaquette, et s’inscrit dans la matière même du papier fibré (avec un marquage thermique qui permet de changer la couleur du papier). La couleur grise (synthèse du noir et blanc primitif de la photographie) structure tout le livre, par aplats ou bien mélangée aux encres pures de la quadrichromie, qui gagnent ainsi en subtilité.

This work presents a collection of works, the result of a photographic commission initiated by the Bordeaux art centre, Frac MÉCA (Fonds régionaux d’art contemporain). The cover design expresses the idea of a territory and a horizon. The full title is debossed into the dust jacket, being an integral part of the dust jacket’s material of fibre paper (using thermochromic paper so that its colour can be changed). The colour grey (a synthesis of photography’s original black and white) structures the entire book, either in flat tints or mixed with the pure inks of the four-colour process, which thus gain in subtlety.
